Resumen en portugues
O estearato de magnésio é um excipiente farmacêutico utilizado na fabricação de sólidos orais, e possui propriedade de lubrificante. O insumo é comercializado na forma de mistura de sais de diferentes ácidos graxos. Avariedade inerente à matéria-prima causa efeitos imprevisíveis na produção eformulação de comprimidos. O desempenho da função lubrificante estárelacionado com a área superficial específica e porosidade, embora a execução destes testes ainda não sejam obrigatórios nas principais farmacopeias. Os laboratórios têm realizado os ensaios com base nos métodos gerais já descritos nos compêndios oficiais, na busca de uma relação entre o ensaio e a função lubrificante do insumo. Este trabalho propõe a busca de dados na literatura que auxilie o entendimento da dificuldade de relacionar os dados de área superficial específica e porosidade com a funcionalidade de lubrificante do estearato de magnésio.
