Resumen en portugues
O objetivo desse estudo
foi investigar a presença de fatores de risco para doenças
cardiovasculares do adulto entre crianças
na idade escolar. Foram
selecionadas
aleatoriam
e
nte 356 crianças de cinco a nove
anos atendidas no Centro de Saúde-Escola
Germ
ano Sinval Faria da ENSP/FIOCRUZ. Foram
determ
inados níveis séricos dos
lipídeos, lipoproteínas e glicose, estado nutricional, pressão arterial, hábitos alim
entares por
m
e
io de questionário de freqüência alim
entar e recordatório de 24 horas de um
dia,
m
o
rbidade f
a
m
iliar e hábitos de vida (sedenta
rism
o e tabagism
o na f
a
m
ília). As variáveis
foram
arm
azenadas e analisadas no program
a Ep
i-info,versão 6.04 e no pacote estatístico R.
Na análise dos dados utilizou-se o teste T de
Student e o Qui-quadrado para estim
ar a
significância estatística das associações estudadas, este últim
o com
sim
u
lação
de Monte
Carlo, quando necessário em
tabelas com
peque
nos núm
eros. O program
a Nutwin calculou
os nutrientes e gasto energético. Encontrou-se,
entre as crianças que fizeram
os exam
es
laboratoriais, 10,7% com
sobrepeso, alta prevalência de dislipidem
ias, sendo 43,8% de
hipercolesterolem
i
a isolada e 6,9% de hiperlipidem
ia m
i
sta. Estes achados foram
significativam
ente associados ao sobrepes
o, em

apareçam
em
crianças com
peso adequado. A hipertensão arterial foi m

ior nas crianças com
sobrepeso. A
hiperglicem
ia ocorreu em
0,8% das crianças. En

associados ao sobrepeso infantil.

o perto das crianças não esteve associado
ao estado nutricional e à dislipidem

The aim
of this study is to investigate risk
factors in children in the school age, for
adult'
s cardiovascular diseases. W

lipoproteins and glucose, nutritional state,
blood pressure, nutritional habits through food
frequency questionaire and 24-h recall of one day, fam

(sedentarism
and tobacco consum
ption in the fam
ily). The variables were kept and analyzed
in Epi-info, version 6.04 and in the statistical
package R. Estim

significance of associations was based on the test
T of Student and the chi-square, this one

lation, when necessary for tables with sm

school age in this population residing in a
