Estudaram-se 39 crianças com sintomatologia respiratória atribuída a vírus. Depois de examinadas clinicamente, foram enviadas amostra de sangues e "swab" de garganta para o laboratório de virologia. Isolaram-se vírus respiratórios em 19 delas, sendo a maioria Vírus Influenza A2 Victória (família Orthomixoviridae, gênero influenzavirus). O estudo imunológico realizado em soros de 10 crianças, 20 a 30 dias após, demonstrou a importância deste vírus na série de casos investigados.
Abstract
Thirty-nine children presenting acute respiratory symptoms with characteristics of virus infection were studied. After clinical examination, blood and throat swab samples were sent to the virology laboratory . Respiratory viruses were isolated in 19 of them, the majority being virus Influenza A2 Victoria/75. The immunological study carried out on the sera from 10 children 20 to 30 days later, showed the importance of this virus in the series of cases investigated.
