O primeiro editorial do ano e a primeira revista trazem um desejo: poder anunciar o fim da pandemia e vitórias da ciência, mas a realidade ainda é marcada por dificuldades e desafios. Na capa desta edição, Adriana Nunes da Silva, uma mulher trabalhadora doméstica, representa as 5,8 milhões de trabalhadoras dessa categoria no Brasil, majoritariamente negras. A matéria de capa, produzida por Ana Claudia Peres, Luíza Zauza e Eduardo de Oliveira, conta a história de Adriana, sua identificação com a obra de Carolina Maria de Jesus, e como ela e outras trabalhadoras enfrentam desafios diários. A reportagem inclui relatos emocionantes, como o de Eduardo Oliveira, que relembra sua mãe, Jucirlete de Oliveira, também trabalhadora doméstica, e a de Maria Izabel, uma diarista que enfrenta o racismo e luta pelos direitos das trabalhadoras no sindicato. Janaína Costa, de uma família de trabalhadoras domésticas, superou muitos obstáculos para concluir seu doutorado e agora usa as redes sociais para denunciar injustiças no trabalho doméstico. Há dez anos, a Emenda Constitucional n. 72 foi aprovada, assegurando importantes direitos às trabalhadoras domésticas. No entanto, ainda há muito a ser conquistado, como melhores condições de licença maternidade e seguro desemprego. Apenas 25% das trabalhadoras têm carteira assinada, o que destaca a necessidade de mais avanços na proteção dessa categoria. A pesquisadora Adriana Castro, da Fiocruz, defende a importância de reconhecer o trabalho doméstico como profissão e não apenas como atividade afetiva, ressaltando a dependência das famílias de classe média dessas profissionais para estarem no mercado de trabalho. Além disso, a edição aborda a guerra na Palestina, destacando a destruição e o sofrimento causados pelo conflito. Em dois meses, bombardeios israelenses em Gaza mataram mais de 18,8 mil pessoas e feriram mais de 51 mil, principalmente mulheres e crianças. A destruição de hospitais, ambulâncias e a morte de profissionais de saúde e trabalhadores humanitários agravam a crise. Jornalistas que documentam o conflito também estão sendo mortos, configurando o genocídio como o primeiro da história a ser presenciado mundialmente em tempo real. A Radis continua comprometida em dar visibilidade às histórias de luta e resistência, garantindo o direito à informação e à comunicação para todos.
