Resumen en ingles
This article is an excerpt from my master’s dissertation entitled “Child depression:
Raising awareness of education professionals involved in primary education
1 and the population in general, through information based on neuroeducation”,
in which one of the objectives was to disseminate information
about of childhood depression based on scientific literature through social
media as a pedagogical method, which can sensitize the general population.
The purpose of this research is to verify through the word cloud what the
terminology “child depression” means for the general population and to investigate
the contribution of posts on social networks on the internet, specifically,
on Instagram, providing democratization of access to information and the inclusion
of the general population in the debate on some topic, in the case of this
research, about childhood depression. Thus, it is intended to qualitatively analyze
the answers regarding the word cloud and quantitatively the results obtained
on the Instagram platform, such as the number of likes, shares, saves,
comments and others. It is concluded that, despite the results found, we need
to continue disclosing information based on scientific literature about childhood
depression and child mental health, using as a pedagogical resource the
social media that are increasingly being used in the scientific community.
