Resumen en portugues
Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo elaborar diretrizes de uso e ocupação referentes à uma proposta de intervenção para o Palácio Universitário, antigo Hospício Pedro II, um exemplar neoclássico de grande relevância histórica e arquitetônica para o campo do patrimônio cultural da saúde e para a Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), localizado no campus da Praia Vermelha, na Urca-RJ. Pretende-se, a partir de um estudo sobre a questão da relevância do uso no âmbito da preservação do patrimônio histórico arquitetônico, oferecer subsídios para a formulação do Plano Diretor desta edificação, e possível revisão das diretivas do Plano Diretor da UFRJ/2020. Tais diretrizes devem respeitar as características físicas e limitações deste bem tombado, seus valores culturais, autenticidade e integridade, e estar pautada em conceitos e fundamentos da teoria contemporânea da conservação de bens culturais, documentos normativos internacionais e, sobretudo, por princípios éticos.
Resumen en ingles
This research aims to develop guidelines for use and occupation related to an intervention proposal for the Palácio Universitário, former Hospice Pedro II, a neoclassical specimen of great historical and architectural relevance for the field of cultural heritage of health and for the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), located on the campus of Praia Vermelha, UrcaRJ. It is intended, based on a study on the issue of the relevance of use in the preservation of architectural historical heritage, to offer subsidies for the formulation of the Master Plan of this building, and possible revision of the directives of the UFRJ/2020 Master Plan. Such guidelines must respect the physical characteristics and limitations of this well-listed, its cultural values, authenticity and integrity, and be based on concepts and foundations of contemporary theory of conservation of cultural goods, international normative documents and, above all, ethical principles.
