Abstract
The words multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity, transdisciplinarity are commom when it comes to Health, Work and Environment related Literature. However there are not enough texts which deal
in detail with their theory-concept discussion. We do not discuss which of these words is the best, but the importance of integrating disciplines in order to produce knowledge in this field. We decided to adopt the sentence “integrating approaches” instead of the above mentioned words, meaning
the collection of integrating proposals.
This study is theory-concept and exploration oriented, reinforced by the direct approach of some researchers from various Brazilian Research Institutions, through questionnaire and interview scripts. It pursues the comprehension of the relations between the integrating approaches and the
theory-concept needs of the field, from the Employees’ Health paradigm perspective. It also pursues creating a pattern for researchers’ common findings, discussing personal and integration collective presumptions and supporting the discussion about the future of knowledge production.
Our presumptions are that the discipline integration would allow the findings in various perspectives of the subjects of study. These subjects are related to many disciplines in this field, which integration appeal has taken its origin in the technitian / researchers political ideas about solidarity of employees’ requests. These political ideas are proper of Brazilian emergencial
Employees’ Health situation.
