Abstract
The aim of the present study is to think about the psychologicalsuffering of the com-munity health workers based on the Bioethics of Protection framework in order to demonstrate that the particularities and demands inherent to their daily work incur the degradation of their living conditions, which is a requirement to consider them as moral patients tothe Bioethics of Protection. To this end, an attempt is made to articulate the body and biopolitics concepts with the fundamentals of Bioethics of Protection by a bibliographic survey based on the theoretical frameworks of Le Breton, Merleau-Ponty, Foucault, Agamben, Esposito, Kottow and Schramm.Indeed, the goal of this work was achieved by investigating how relationships between biopol-itics, the community health workers and their suffering pari passuon to theirs working condi-tions resulted in their insertion as moral patients in the scope of Bioethics of Protection. This attempt came from (1) a brief description of the evolution of the sovereign power, biopower and politicsconcepts and their relationship with the body in Western society; (2) the reflection on the mismatch between the lexicon of public policies and health work that tends to promote the lexical priority of actions in relation to the worker while their living and their daily work; (3) the demonstration that the set of aspects that make up the professional world of the commu-nity health agent points to the tendency to their susceptibility in the work environment and; (4) the construction of a scenario where thearticulation of thenotion of body and the principle of protection together with the ergonomic view of the health work organization and the community health agent\2019s work processpromote his characterizationas a moral patient. In the end, this thesis intent tobecome an instrument to raise awareness among health workers, researchers and managers who work of are interested in the Primary Health Care issues and contribute to the opening of horizons for the interpretation of public health policies, as well as providing subsi-dies for political and institutional debate.
