Resumen en ingles
Extensive areas around densely built
urban areas have been practically stripped
of vegetation to such an extent that the
population’s healthy quality of life has
dropped dramatically. The supply of
drinking water and sanitation for the
humans lead to landslides and deaths.
Extensive environmental assessment
studies have been made and are being
carried out due to these problems (Sorvig
& Thompson, 2018). Human activities
induced by deforestation, fragmentation
and forest degradation are real threats to
biodiversity and the local ecosystem.
Restoring urban forests improves the
quality of life for city dwellers and is
important for maintaining native biodiversity
(Wallace & Clarkson, 2019;
Conway et al., 2019).
