Resumen en portugues
O presente trabalho apresenta um relato de experiência para a divulgação científica com enfoque na
avaliação do conhecimento entomológico dos Escoteiros do Brasil. A participação dos pesquisadores em
entomologia do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz durante o 7º Jamboree Nacional Escoteiro, acampamento que
reúne jovens e adultos de todo território nacional, resultou na aplicação de 150 questionários que
permitiram identificar o grau de conhecimento dos escoteiros sobre os cuidados que devem ter com
determinados insetos que podem ser encontrados durante a realização de atividades na natureza.
Resumen en ingles
The present work presents an experience report for scientific dissemination focusing on the evaluation
of the entomological knowledge of the Brazilian Boy Scouts. The participation of researchers in
entomology of the Oswaldo Cruz Institute during the 7th Camp National Jamboree, which brings
together youngsters and adults from all over the country, resulted in the application of 150
questionnaires that identified the level of knowledge about the care they must take with some insects
that they can find when performing activities in nature.
