Entrevista de João Vitor Santos com Naomar de Almeida Filho, integrante do Conselho Consultivo da ENSP e vice-presidente da Abrasco (Associação Brasileira de Pós-Graduação em Saúde Coletiva). Para o pesquisador, a falta de organização e de uma coordenação central no enfrentamento da pandemia, somada às políticas de austeridade econômica, agrava ainda mais a situação da Covid-19 no Brasil. Embora o Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) seja uma enorme conquista cidadã, cada vez mais ameaçada com as políticas de austeridade, os desafios para superarmos as desigualdades no acesso à saúde no Brasil ainda são imensos e passam, segundo a avaliação do professor, pesquisador e integrante do Conselho Consultivo da ENSP, Naomar de Almeida Filho, pela formação dos trabalhadores do campo: “Assustador é que, em nosso país, a formação de competência para produzir e operar essas formas de iniquidade se encontra no próprio sistema de educação formal incorporado ao treinamento e capacitação de pessoal técnico e profissional em saúde”.
