Desde o início da pandemia, a pneumologista e professora-pesquisadora da Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública Sergio Arouca da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (ENSP/Fiocruz) Margareth Dalcolmo tem sido uma das vozes mais importantes no alerta e combate à doença causada pelo novo coronavírus. Ainda era março quando ela previu, por exemplo, que a Covid-19 seria rejuvenescida no Brasil, por conta das condições socioeconômicas e geográficas do país. Sob o marco de 50 mil mortes e 1 milhão de pessoas infectadas, Dalcolmo, nesta entrevista, aponta que muitas vidas poderiam ter sido salvas no país se houvesse uma organização harmônica entre os poderes e se o lockdown tivesse sido feito no momento certo. Ainda de acordo com a pneumologista, estamos na fase de interiorização da doença e é impensável o retorno às aulas.
