Janeiro de 2015 a julho de 2017. Percepções e risco da transmissão de doenças advindas da biodiversidade. Identificar riscos e percepção da população da Resex Tapajós-Arapiuns/PA sobre a circulação de zoonoses advindas da biodiversidade. Instrumentalizar colaboradores para monitoramento de animais silvestres com o app SISS-Geo. Elaborar guia de boas práticas em saúde e conservação da biodiversidade. Realização de 5 expedições, em duas etapas, com equipe multidisciplinar, envolvendo 56 comunidades ribeirinhas e indígenas. Na primeira, realizaram-se 26 oficinas, com palestra, aplicação de questionários sobre percepção e análise de risco de zoonoses, uso de celular, entrevistas e treinamento no uso SISS-Geo. Na segunda, devolveram-se os resultados, realizou-se avaliação das oficinas e foi entregue o guia Biodiversidade faz bem à Saúde, elaborado a partir dos dados coletados. Todos entrevistados consideraram que animais podem transmitir doenças para humanos, mas só 42% afirmam que humanos podem transmitir doenças para animais. O espectro de doenças é variado e inclui desde as infecciosas até autoimunes e emocionais. As formas de transmissão na sua maioria são o contato direto, associação por semelhança como a coqueluche e a vocalização do guariba, a lesão cutânea da leishmaniose com a infeção da picada do carrapato, ou aquelas originárias de seres encantados. O conhecimento sobre dos ciclos das doenças está fundamentado nos saberes tradicionais, inclusive dos agentes de educação e saúde locais, e se mesclam com informações transmitidas pela mídia e agentes externos. Nessa concepção, o mundo microscópico é inalcançável. A saúde assistencialista medicamentosa reforça a incompreensão desses processos e limita que se exija do poder público ações eficientes e de longo prazo para prevenção, e sua própria ação de buscar o manejo de seu corpo e ambiente. Compreender o processo de transmissão de doenças na concepção científica significa ter as informações disponíveis e estar investido de autoridade, legitimidade e estabelecer pontes entre os diferentes saberes. Os projetos de desenvolvimento local, agentes de saúde, educação e ambiente devem inserir nas suas propostas de intervenção a dinâmica e ecologia das doenças que circulam na região de modo que garantam a saúde única e sustentável.
