A implantação de um modelo de horta de laje em Vila Rosário (município de Duque de Caxias, RJ) visa estimular a produção de plantas de cultivo caseiro que possam ser usadas para reforçar a imunidade das pessoas às doenças, mais particularmente agir na prevenção da tuberculose e até servir como adjuvante no seu tratamento. Por esta razão, a evolução deste projeto à população como um todo, pode se constituir em uma questão estratégica para a saúde pública. Ele representa, também, um incentivo à agricultura urbana, bem como, um estímulo à produção de plantas medicinais. Este trabalho tem por objetivo analisar os aspectos técnicos, financeiros e produtivos da implantação dessa horta e estabelecer as condições para a manutenção e a sustentabilidade do sistema em longo prazo. Foram selecionadas para o plantio na horta-modelo 10 espécies vegetais com comprovação científica de sua ação e efeito benéfico no auxilio da prevenção e tratamento da tuberculose. Os resultados obtidos na implantação da horta-modelo mostraram que a atividade é viável. Será necessário, no entanto, que o processo seja acompanhado de programa de capacitação de pessoal e incentivo político e financeiro através de organizações interessadas. Ao Instituto Vila Rosário caberá o acompanhamento do projeto para avaliar o efeito positivo da adesão deste projeto nos casos de tuberculose da região em que atua.
Abstract
The implementation of a model garden slab in Vila Rosário (Duque de Caxias, RJ) aims to encourage the production of crop plants home that can be used to enhance the immunity of people to diseases, more particularly act in TB prevention and to serve as an adjuvant treatment. For this reason, the evolution of this project to the population as a whole, may constitute a strategic issue for public health. It also is an incentive to urban agriculture, as well as a stimulus to produce medicinal plants. This work aims to analyze the technical, financial and production aspects of the implementation of this garden and establish the conditions for the maintenance and sustainability of the system in the long term. Were selected for planting in the garden 10 model plant species with scientific evidence of its beneficial effect on the action and aid the prevention and treatment of tuberculosis. The results obtained in the implementation of the garden model showed that the activity is viable. It will be necessary, however, that the process is accompanied by training of staff and political and financial incentives through organizations interested program. At Vila
Rosário Institute will be responsible for monitoring the project to evaluate the positive effect of membership of this project in the cases of tuberculosis in the region where it operates.
