The use of leguminous forage species in silvopastoral systems aims to the contribution of nitrogen fertilization in the soil, the gain in quality of food offered to animals and the recovery of degraded areas. Its cultivation in conditions of lower supply of solar radiation with answers about your productivity can boost their use in consortiums with grasses and trees in silvopastoral systems. This work evaluated the effect of shading on the productive characteristics of the Campo Grande Styloshantesspp. cv., fertilized or not, with phosphorus. The work was conducted in the forage and pasture sector of the State University of the Southwest of Bahia Itapetinga campus. The effects of artificial shading (0, 30, 50 and 80%) and two doses of phosphate fertilization (0, 150 kg P2O5.ha-1) were evaluated. The effects of artificial shading (0, 30, 50 and 80%) and two doses of phosphate fertilization (0, 150 kg P2O5.ha-1) were evaluated. The design was completely randomized, in a 4x2 factorial scheme, with five replications. Phosphate fertilization and shading had an effect on the production nodulation of Campo Grande Styloshantes with up to 30% of shading, pointing out that this legume tolerates the shading, becoming indicated for deployment in silvopastoral systems.
