Este microcurso é parte integrante da primeira série da Formação Modular em Ciência Aberta, dividida em três cursos. O primeiro, “O que é Ciência Aberta?”, disponível para imediata inscrição, foi elaborado por especialistas da Universidade do Minho (Portugal), responsáveis pelo desenvolvimento do Programa Foster (Fostering the practical implementation of Open Science in Horizon 2020 and beyond) da União Europeia, e da Fiocruz.
O curso apresenta o conceito de ciência aberta, bem como as razões e as vantagens da prática da ciência aberta; Entender o que é a ciência aberta, e porque deve adotá-la; Conhecer as principais dimensões da ciência aberta; Entender como tornar sua própria pesquisa mais aberta e como isso pode beneficiar a sua carreira.
