Resumen en portugues
Camundongos experimentalmente infetados pelo Trypanosoma cruzi foram tratados com Nitrofurânico (Bayer 2502) e com Corticóide (Betametasona) simultaneamente, observando-se maior sobrevida dos animais, negativação parasitêmica e diminuição das lesões inflamatórias, quando comparados com grupos controles de infecção, com animais tratados apenas com a droga específica (Bayer 2502) ou apenas com Corticóide. Nestes últimos observou-se acentuado aumento da parasitemia e maiores índices de mortalidade, enquanto nos tratados com Bayer 2502 apenas, houve negativação parasitêmica porém a mortalidade foi elevada e as lesões inflamatórias eram muito intensas.
Resumen en ingles
Mice experimentally infected with Trypanosoma cruzi were treated with Bayer 2502 and Corticoid, simultaneously. This treatment was more effective than the use of Bayer 2502 only, the animals developing less intense inflammatory lesions and a lower mortality rate.
