Abstract in Portuguese
Abstract
This paper has the objective of analyse the experiences in attention to the common
mental disorders (CMD) on the Family Health Strategy (FHS) at the light of the
precepts of the psychiatric reform (PR). It's about a narrative review of literature in
which 20 papers where selected, published between 1994 and 2010 in the Virtual
library in health. The discussion around the attention to mental health in the FHS
taking as a basis the PR has been advancing. The matricial support was identified as
a strategy for the development of the attention to mental health in the FHS. The
inclusion of a psychologist int the FHS seems to favor the users from the
communitary and individual therapy. However, the studies that treat the mental
health in the scope of preservation and promotion are limited. Fill the gaps of the
discussion around the strategies of promotion of mental health may contribute to
minimize therestricted and medicalizing assistance to a small parcel of the
population.
