Abstract
The research aimed to investigate the production of allelopathic substances in Bamburral extracts (Hyptis suaveolens (L.) POIT.) On the germination of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) under different concentrations and times of day. The experiment was carried out at the Laboratory of Plant Physiology of Vale do Acaraú State University, Sobral, CE. Leaf collections were organized by schedule and by day. For the research, 15 treatments (T1: 08h 0%, T2: 08h 50%, T3: 08h 100%, T4: 10h 0%, T5: 10h 50%, T6: 10h 100%, T7: 12h 0%; T8: 12h 50%, T9: 12h 100%, T10: 14h 0%, T11: 14h 50%, T12: 14h 100%, T13: 16h 0%, T14: 16h 50%, T15: 16h times. The obtained data were transformed (x = 1 + √X) and submitted to ASSISTAT software 7.7. The averages were compared by the Tukey test and the design was completely randomized. The evaluated parameters were: Percentage of Germination, Seedling Growth, Radical Length and Weights of Fresh and Dry Matter. The concentrations of 50% and 100% seem to exert allelopathic activity on the germination of the seeds of Cucumis sativus L. The collection times of Hyptis suaveolens (L.) POIT. potentially positive allelopaths were 10h and 12h at concentrations of 50% and 100%.
