Foi realizado um estudo transversal com o objetivo de analisar a correlação entre condições de trabalho, condições de saúde e estresse ocupacional entre mulheres policiais militares do Rio de Janeiro. Para a realização da pesquisa foi feita uma amostra por conglomerados de mulheres da Polícia Militar lotadas na cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Foi aplicado um questionário autopreenchível, com 78 questões divididas em quatro blocos relativos a características sociodemográficas, condições de trabalho, condições de saúde e consumo de substâncias. Dos 238 questionários respondidos, 224 foram analisados. Foram feitas análises descritivas dos dados por meio das frequências simples e relativas das variáveis, bem como análise bivariada para verificar a associação entre as variáveis independentes e os quadrantes do modelo demanda-controle. A renda líquida, a renda familiar total, os descontos salariais, o cargo, a insatisfação com o trabalho desempenhado, o risco de sofrer violência psicológica no trabalho, não receber ajuda nos serviços domésticos, ter sofrimento psíquico, entre outros, destacam-se como fatores correlacionados ao estresse ocupacional.
