Abstract
This dissertation presents the results of a survey that consisted of a study from a home care experience in mental health held at the Psychiatric Center Rio de Janeiro (CPRJ), Rio de Janeiro (RJ) in the period 2006 to 2008. The interest in this discussion is due to the possibility of presentation of this strategy as a useful tool in the context of deinstitutionalization, as well as the articulation of these discussions in the Field of Brazilian Health and Psychiatric Reforms, regarding the broader concept of health and health practices ethical and inclusive. To this end, we carried out an analysis of experience in the period described by means of narrative review of literature on the subject in order to identify the characteristics of the technology present in the Brazilian context and substance to the Case Study: Home Care Project – Equipe Volante/CPRJ. From the review/systematization of the literature and preparing the case study, I believe it’s possible to adjust and incorporate the strategy for Mental Health Home Care to the Brazilian context, especially in Rio de Janeiro.
