Resumen en portugues
O risco infeccioso atribuído aos Resíduos de Serviços de Saúde (RSS) torna obrigatória
a adoção do tratamento prévio dos materiais biológicos gerados, como forma de redução
ou eliminação da carga microbiana. Nesse contexto, a possibilidade da presença de
microrganismo patogênico nas frações infectantes dos RSS, depois dos processos de
descontaminação biológica, amplia a importância das discussões técnico-científicas
sobre os fatores de risco associados a estes resíduos e contruibui com a proposição de
novas ações para o gerenciamento dos RSS.
