Resumen en portugues
A leptospirose é uma zoonose, causada pela bactéria Leptospira, de ampla distribuição e elevado impacto à saúde humana. A cada ano são notificados mais de um milhão de casos no mundo, sendo que aproximadamente dez mil deles no Brasil. As epidemias da leptospirose no Brasil acontecem a cada ano em áreas urbanas durante o período de chuvas sazonais.
