Abstract
The concept of Harm Reduction plays a central role in the current context of the drug discus-sion. In view of the socio-cultural transformations that occurred in the field of drugs at the end of the 20th century in Brazil, with emphasis on the reduction of injecting cocaine use and the incidence of crack use, Harm Reduction professionals question the nature of the inputs In their practices. This paper proposes to discuss the place of art and culture in the context of Harm Reduction practices in contemporary times. Specifically, it identifies and characterizes the activities developed by the Culture Point of the É de Lei Coexistence Center, located in São Paulo (SP), which present an interface between art, culture and Harm Reduction. It inves-tigates the relationships between aesthetic experience, art, culture, inputs and Harm Reduction in the production of social ties. It characterizes the input in Harm Reduction as something that facilitates the establishment of a link between the drug user and who the offer. He attributes to this bond the capacity to provoke a displacement of the subject from the solitary relation es-tablished with the substance, which provides him with fleeting corporal satisfaction, in favor of the social ties that enable him to exercise his condition of singular subject in the culture. It concludes that the aesthetic experience in the fields of art and culture used as input in Harm Reduction allows the establishment of new social bonds.
