Resumen en portugues
O artigo descreve uma oficina piloto, realizada com
17 estudantes de pedagogia de uma universidade
pública localizada na cidade do Rio de Janeiro, em
abril de 2009. A experiência ocorreu durante a aula
de Práticas de Ensino, com a finalidade de explorar
um tema controverso e atual – a regulamentação do
uso científico dos animais – utilizando uma estratégia
didática centrada na interação entre os participantes,
orientada pelo docente e apoiada por especialista.
Trata-se de um exemplo de atividade de ensino de
ciências inspirada na abordagem Ciência &
Tecnologia na Sociedade (Science & Technology in
Society – Projeto SATIS), experiência britânica
pioneira na elaboração de material didático de
ciências com enfoque Ciência, Tecnologia e
Sociedade (CTS). O relato tem como objetivo
apresentar um modo de introduzir novos conteúdos
curriculares no ensino de ciências, baseado na
colaboração entre docentes e especialistas que
buscam apoiar o desenvolvimento de uma educação
científica crítica e inquisidora.
