Doralice Araújo foi idealizadora de um projeto de vídeo em instituição manicomial bastante pioneiro. Ela pertenceu ao núcleo original fundador da TV Pinel e afastou-se após algumas diatribes e muito sucesso no empreendimento. Sua perda recente nos oferece a tarefa de reunir lembranças e buscar a memória. Ricardo Peret foi diretor do Instituto Philippe Pinel, hospital psiquiátrico, no Rio de Janeiro, durante sete anos (1990 a 1997). Foi durante sua gestão que se deu a criação da TV Pinel a partir do apoio integral concedido à ideia de Dora. Essa TV, produtora de vídeos e núcleo de criação audiovisual, que se consolidou como um instrumento de intervenção cultural e teve como berço a Reforma Psiquiátrica Brasileira, pode ser entendida a partir do encontro de uma psicóloga, também artista visual e fotógrafa, com um psiquiatra dotado de sensibilidade para a área de Comunicação Social. Grande amigo, incentivador e admirador de Doralice Araújo, Peret ressalta o talento dela e argumenta que não se pode falar da TV Pinel sem falar em Dora. Nessa entrevista, ele nos conta um pouco de sua experiência, do trabalho de Doralice e da história da TV Pinel. Trata-se de uma crônica da reforma psiquiátrica brasileira.
Abstract
Doralice Araújo was the creator of a rather groundbreaking video project in a mental hospital. She belonged to the original founder of "TV Pinel" and walked away after a few diatribes and much success in this venture. Her recent loss gives us the task of gathering memories and search it through. Ricardo Peret was the director of Philippe Pinel Institute, mental hospital, Rio de Janeiro, for seven years (1990-1997). It was during his administration that the creation of TV Pinel happened from the full support given to Dora's idea. This TV, video producer and audiovisual creation, which was consolidated as an instrument for cultural intervention and had as start the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform, can be understood from the meeting of a psychologist, also a visual artist and photographer, with a psychiatrist endowed with sensitivity for the area of Social Communication. Great friend, supporter and admirer of Doralice Araújo, Peret highlights her talent and says that one cannot speak of TV Pinel without mentioning Dora. In this interview, he tells us a bit of his experience, work with Doralice and the story of TV Pinel. It is a chronicle of the Brazilian psychiatric reform.
