Resumen en portugues
Será aqui apresentada uma breve síntese de alguns estudos malacológicos realizados no Instituto Oswaldo Cruz (IOC), através de três focos: um primeiro, nos trabalhos pioneiros do naturalista Adolpho Lutz, que inicia sua trajetória na instituição em 1908; o segundo, uma pequena amostra do caudaloso trabalho do Dr. Wladimir Lobato Paraense, desenvolvido há mais de seis décadas e o terceiro, um panorama geral dos trabalhos do grupo que se formou no Departamento de Biologia do IOC, sob a liderança do Dr. Pedro Jurberg, a partir dos anos de 1970.
