Os objetivos deste estudo foram analisar a distribuição espacial da coinfecção Aids/Tuberculose no município do Recife, no período de 2001 a 2010, bem como identificar áreas de risco e indicadores sociodemográficos e econômicos correlacionados. Realizou-se estudo ecológico analítico exploratório com dados do Sistema de Informações sobre Agravos de Notificação (SINAN) e o Censo Demográfico de 2010. Foram incluídos no estudo 1.246 casos novos de coinfecção. Para distribuição dos casos e identificação de áreas de risco (mapas de densidade de Kernel), utilizou-se técnica de geoprocessamento e para identificar os fatores correlacionados à coinfecção, foi utilizado o modelo do erro espacial - CAR (Conditional AutoRegression). Apresentaram-se como fatores correlacionados à coinfecção Aids/Tuberculose: Proporção de domicílios sem abastecimento de água da rede geral (ß=0,29, p=0,020); Proporção de domicílios sem iluminação pública (ß=-1,72, p=0,005); Renda média mensal da pessoa responsável pelo domicílio (ß=-2,89, p=0,001); Média do número de moradores em domicílios particulares permanentes (ß=-53,65, p<0,001); Proporção de crianças de 10 a 14 anos que são responsáveis pelo domicílio (ß=63,20, p=0,003); Proporção de crianças de 10 a 14 anos que trabalham (ß= -17,79, p<0,001). Entretanto, o modelo final não apresentou um bom ajuste e, uma vez que tais resultados são discordantes em relação à literatura mundial, fez-se necessária a realização da análise de pontos, a qual apresentou correlação com áreas de baixa condição socioeconômica e pobreza, as ZEIS (Zonas Especiais de Interesse Social). Desse modo, entende-se que a distribuição dessas doenças no espaço não se dá ao acaso e de forma homogênea, mas sofre influência direta do processo de desigualdade social. Logo, compreender como a coinfecção se distribui no espaço e os indicadores sociodemográficos e econômicos correlacionados a ela contribui para subsidiar intervenções de saúde direcionadas que tenham efetividade na redução das taxas de coinfecção
