Atualmente, o uso dos agrotóxicos é cada vez mais intenso e disseminado nos
estados brasileiros. Estes produtos químicos utilizados na agricultura, no ambiente
rural ou urbano, apresentam algum grau de toxicidade sobre organismos vivos que
vão desde intoxicação aguda a efeitos crônicos. No Brasil apesar de haver
legislação restritiva, ainda são permitidos produtos considerados muito tóxicos e já
proibidos em outros países, criando contextos particulares de vulnerabilidade social
e ambiental e tornando indivíduos e ecossistemas mais suscetíveis aos efeitos
danosos. A vigilância e o monitoramento da exposição aos agrotóxicos são
obrigatórios segundo o respectivo arcabouço regulatório. Entretanto, instituições
responsáveis pelas ações de monitoramento encontram dificuldade em identificar
laboratórios aptos a realizar análise de resíduos em diferentes matrizes,
repercutindo em programas limitados e insuficientes para subsidiar diversas ações
de prevenção dos agravos à saúde. Com base nesta problemática, este estudo visa
mapear laboratórios nacionais com capacidade técnica de analisar resíduos de
agrotóxicos em diversas matrizes e propor rede de monitoramento integrado para
dar suporte às ações preventivas em saúde. A pesquisa das informações em bancos
de dados de organizações nacionais e que congregam laboratórios com ensaios de
metodologias acreditadas mostra a existência de 51 laboratórios, mas concentrados
na região sudeste (78%). A análise parcial com 29 dos 51 laboratórios mostra a
capacidade de detecção de resíduosem matrizes alimentares, ambientais, biológicas
e hospitalares, sendo até o momento, identificados 410 ingredientes ativos (IA)
distribuídos em 154 grupos químicos. Os principais grupos são triazol (24),
organoclorado (24), piretróide (25), carbamato (54) e organofosforado (88), por
representarem metade dos IA. Os resultados, ainda parciais, não permite propor a
estruturação de uma rede, embora mostre o quantitativo e localização dos
laboratórios e demonstre a possibilidade na ampliação dos produtos exigidos para
análise em programas do governo, devido à variedade de IA analisados pelos
diversos laboratórios.
