| en_US |

Abstract | This article proposes a discussion about the following question: Is it possible to establish a dialogue between the categories “deviance” and “atypical form” in the works of Michel de Certeau and Edward Thompson? The choice of reflection on two specific categories operated in the work of these two authors concerns an attempt to understand the historiographic doing from the approach of both, thinking in terms of a Social History of Culture, or even a Methodology of History. Despite the theoretical and methodological differences between the two authors, the notions of “deviation” and “atypical form” mobilized by them enable a historiographic practice that relates the continuous and the discontinuous from a detailed examination of evidence series. | en_US |
