bibliográfica da produção científica sobre Povos e Comunidades Tradicionais do Brasil e PICS;
No
Abstract
The research had as a trigger for the analysis the guideline that addresses the importance
of integrating traditional, conventional and complementary knowledge and practices for the
development of the Brazilian National Policy for Integrative and Complementary Practices
(PNPIC) in the SUS in an attempt to understand the problems and propose the development of
a reasoning from and for the Occupational Therapy academic training, that contributes to the
transformation and incorporation of PICS in a shared way in the SUS. To respond to the
objectives of the Thesis, the research was divided into 4 stages: 1. Documentary and
bibliographic analysis of the PNPIC and the relationship with other policies aimed at
Traditional People and Communities (TCP) in Brazil; 2. Bibliographic review of scientific
production on Traditional People and Communities in Brazil and PICS; 3. Problematization of
the relationship between PICS and Traditional People and Communities in the academic
training and performance of Occupational Therapy; 4. Notes on shared production of
knowledge as a methodological strategy and systematized in 3 articles and 3 book chapters. In
Article 1, the policy analysis showed that although Brazil has the PNPIC and values the
traditional knowledge and practices of various cultures, it ends up not valuing theTCP of Brazil,
nor their health care practices were included in the policy. In article 2, what most called our
attention in the panorama of scientific production on PCT knowledge and practices in Brazil
was that the research showed that the amount of publications with traditional peoples and
communities corresponds to less than 1% of the publications collected in the repository about
PICS. Book Chapters 1 and 2 enabled a deepening of the bases that underlie the occupation, as
well as necessary reflections for the development of PICS in occupational therapy. Chapter 3
and Article 3 point out possible paths in the shared construction of knowledge and are
committed to the guideline that addresses the importance of integrating traditional, conventional
and complementary knowledge and practices for the development of the PNPIC in order to
foster the incorporation of the PICS in a shared and integrative way in SUS.
